3 important happenings in the last 2 weeks. Man U wer thumped 4-1 at home by Pool…oops…the 1 week school holidays began and today was the champs league draw. Ok, the least said about the thumping, the better. It was a setback and the boys juz have to look to bounce back. The school holidays brot alot of joy to the 2 rascals. They hav been going out wif grandpa and yesterday, we went to changi beach. Today, they went to watch the ‘Tales of Despereaux’ altho I had to go back to ofix. I rushed home to watch the champs league draw at 7pm on ESPN.

Now let’s examine the champs league draw:

Villareal vs Arse. 2 teams who are not good enuf to win their league but nestle near the top. Villareal are strong at home and playing home first could turn the tide in their favour if they can get a win. Arse looks like they are playing better after struggling mid-season. I think Villareal stand a very good chance if they can grab the opportunity when playing at home. Villareal win! 

Man U vs Porto. The Portugese seems like the weakest team in the quarters. I think if Man U can beat them 2-0 in the first leg, the tie is virtually over. They dun have Jose Mourinho to lead them to an away goals win tis time. This should be Man U’s tie if they dun get over confident. Bruno Conte couldn’t hav picked a better draw for the Red Devils. Man U win!

Pool vs Chelski. Incredible…they meet each other again! Wat ar the odds of tat happening! Pool hav been strong the last few games and since Hiddink came aboard, the blues hav looked strong. I think this one is going to the wire…maybe pens. Hard to predict but based on form, I think Chelski should juz nick it…but if it goes to pens…its anyone’s tie. Chelski win!

Barca vs Bayern. Wat a tie tis is gonna be…2 teams who ar coming on strong. Barca wer shaky mid-season but their coming on strong now. Bayern whacked Sporting Lisbon to shreds and look strong in the Bundesliga lately even tho I doubt they could win it tis season. I take barca as they seem to hav an edge in european competitions compared to the Germans. They also hav Messi, who can single handedly turn matches around. Based on form, I take barca to go thru. Barca win!
